Century Group's client, in Irvine, is seeking a skilled and experienced Staff Accounting to support their accounting department. You will play a crucial role in managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $60,000 to $80,000 per year.

Job Description:

Collaborate with the Accounting Manager for account reconciliations and month-end close processes.
Maintain organized aging and shortage reports to ensure timely payments from customers.
Provide support for monthly bank reconciliation activities.
Communicate daily with the operations team to address any invoicing-related issues.
Track and address shortages, chargebacks, claims, returns, and other payment errors.

Requirements:

Extensive experience with Excel, including Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data queries, and workbook data models.
Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with varying deadlines.
Strong problem-solving abilities and creative thinking
Knowledge of GAAP

Experience:

Bachelor's degree in accounting
3+ years of accounting experience in a consumer products business
ERP experience
