Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Sr. Director, Global Technical Accounting & External Reporting to join their team for a Hybrid role. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $206,000 to $252,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic oversight and technical expertise on complex accounting issues. Ensure compliance with GAAP and IFRS.
- Lead the preparation and review of external financial statements, including quarterly and annual reports (10-Q and 10-K).
- Monitor and implement changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Manage the annual audit process, including the preparation of audit schedules and responses to auditor inquiries.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and monitoring of internal control over financial reporting (ICFR).
- Support strategic planning initiatives by providing insights from financial reporting and technical accounting perspectives.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification is required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite and accounting softwares (XBRL).
- 12 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, with significant exposure to technical accounting, financial reporting, and SEC reporting in a global context.
- .Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and SEC regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
