Salary Range: $28.00 To $32.00 Hourly

The Accounting Associate is responsible for maintaining vendor records, invoice routing, invoice processing, employee expense auditing, and issuing payments timely and in accordance with the company’s internal controls. The Accounting Associate must exercise effective time management and will conduct work within KTGY standards under the direction of supervisor.

• Route all incoming invoices from vendors and consultants to the appropriate party for approval.
• Audit newly added vendor records to ensure accuracy of W-9 details and proof of insurance, if applicable.
• Assist with vendor inquiries, verify vendor record accuracy and run annual 1099 process.
• Post and upload invoices for payment from reprographics provider, vendors associated with asset purchases, landlords, upload/code/post consultant a/p and any other vendors as needed.
• Process weekly check requests.
• Communicate deadlines for bi-weekly check runs and monthly expense report submission to the appropriate parties.
• Generate bi-weekly check run for vendors and consultants.
• Audit expense reports according to IRS and company guidelines for reimbursement; generate employee expense reimbursement payments monthly.
• Respond to vendor and employee inquiries as needed.
• Code/record cash receipts daily and maintain register.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Ask questions when direction is unclear and/or to increase general understanding.

• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Basic understanding and proficiency using the following software:
• MS Office

• Minimum of 1 year accounting experience
• Experience in Architecture and/or Engineering field preferred
• 4-year degree in accounting or finance preferred and/or combination of required education and experience
• Understanding of GAAP principles is a plus
