President Co Founder at Wego Restoration IncWe are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting/Finance Specialist with a background in water restoration / construction billing utilizing Quickbooks Online to join our team. This role is responsible for overseeing and executing day-to-day accounting operations, with a focus on billing A/R, collections, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and manage job-related billing & invoicing, coordinating with insurance companies.
- Prepare and send accurate invoices in a timely manner according to contract terms.
- Monitor job costing and ensure accurate allocation of costs to jobs/projects.
- Work closely with project managers and field staff to track job progress and ensure accurate billing.
- Manage accounts receivable, follow up on outstanding invoices, and support collections efforts.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accurate financial records.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with budget tracking.
- Support payroll processing as needed, including tracking job hours and labor allocations.
- Assist with audit preparation and documentation for internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, GAAP standards, and any industry-specific regulations.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of accounting or finance experience, preferably in the water restoration or construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of billing processes and job costing principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Quickbooks Online) (Additional training available)
- Familiarity with insurance billing and third-party administrator platforms is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Experience:
- Prior experience working in a restoration or construction firm.
- Knowledge of lien waivers, AIA billing, or progress billing processes.
- Familiarity with industry compliance requirements and insurance documentation.
