SCI is seeking a bookkeeper who will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions with precision and integrity. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and responsive, with the ability to work independently while maintaining a high degree of accuracy. This role requires strong time management skills, excellent communication, and a commitment to meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Do in This Role:
- Manage all day-to-day accounting activities via QBO including AR, AP, processing payroll (including creation and entry of payroll journal entry), credit card reconciliations and expense reports.
- Generate invoices, credit card charges, and other expenses.
- Matching and entry of manufacturer invoices into QBO.
- Maintain and update vendor records, collect W9s, and prepare year-end 1099s.
- Maintain and track accounts receivable along with collections as necessary.
- Manage payroll and employee onboarding updates.
- Communicate professionally with vendors and clients via phone and email.
- Assist with ad hoc projects as needed.
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
- Proficient with Quick Books Online is a MUST.
- Extremely detail oriented and accurate.
- Self-motivated and proactive.
- Capable of being persistent when necessary.
- Maintain a positive attitude and willingness to work with other departments.
- Ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Discrete concerning confidential or sensitive information.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Associate degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 4+ years of full-charge bookkeeper experience.
Additional Requirements:
- Full-time, in-office position.
- Local candidates only (no relocation reimbursement).
