Job Description

This position is a great opportunity to work with some of the best outdoor brands in the industry. It will be a part of the Revelyst group directly responsible for accounting function related to Fox working closely with teams from Camelbak, Quiet Kat, Bell and Giro. The person in this role will assist with a wide range of duties with a focus on month end close process, generating month end G/L account reconciliations, systematically analyzing data and preparing reports.
Additionally, they will monitor, verify, and reconcile accounts while working closely with the rest of the Finance team to ensure the accuracy of our financials and timely reporting. Critical thinking and problem solving are the key to success in this role.
This position reports to the Sr. Manager Global Accounting and is based Onsite in our Irvine office.
As the Staff Accountant, you will have an opportunity to:- Prepare month end calculations and accruals, while meeting requisite deadlines
- Examine, reconcile, and analyze financial information such as balance sheets, bank statements, and income statements
- Ensure compliance with SOX requirements, internal controls, policies and maintain appropriate documentation.
- Coordinate reporting schedule and deadlines. Compile information into complete packages for submission to management and corporate accounting teams.
- Investigate and resolve any reconciliation discrepancies in a timely fashion.
- Work with cross functional team to ensure accuracy of information
- Collaborate with FP&A team on forecasting
- Participate in internal and external annual audits
- Represent Finance/Accounting on teams designed to improve operations, reduce costs, update reporting etc.
- Special Projects as needed
- Adhere to and enforce internal controls and compliance with department procedures
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred
- 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably with manufacturing company
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong Excel skills required.
- Experience with SAP
- Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask, problem solve and handle high pressure situations while maintaining a high level of quality, and flexibility.
- Strong organizational ability and time management skills
- The ability to plan, initiate and complete work assignments with minimal supervision
- A team mindset and the ability to work well independently
- Impeccable integrity
- Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and SOX controls
Annual Salary: $77,000.00 - $83,000.00
The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
