We are seeking a Senior Accountant to support accounting, financial reporting, and forward-looking analysis across a family office platform including commercial real estate and residential homebuilding development. This role is ideal for someone with a strong accounting foundation who is also comfortable forecasting, modeling, with experience in homebuilding or construction environments.
Responsibilities- Prepare and review monthly financials, journal entries, and account reconciliations
- Support job-cost accounting, WIP schedules, and cost tracking for homebuilding/development entities
- Assist with budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections across multiple entities
- Build and maintain financial models to support business planning and investment decisions
- Partner with operations and leadership on ad-hoc analysis
- Help improve accounting processes, reporting, and systems
- Strong accounting background (public accounting and/or industry experience)
- Comfortable with forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP/accounting systems a plus (Quick Books, Yardi, Mark Systems)
- Detail-oriented, self-directed, and comfortable wearing multiple hats
- Must have experience with homebuilding, construction,andjob-cost accounting
- ~20-person family office
- Accounting team of ~5
- High visibility, broad exposure, and direct access to leadership
