Property Accountant

Position Overview

Our client, a commercial real estate organization based in Irvine, is seeking an experienced Property Accountant to support their team on a temporary basis for approximately 3-4 months. This role will focus on commercial property accounting and requires hands‑on experience with Yardi
. The position follows a hybrid schedule with four days onsite and one remote day per week.

• Perform month‑end close activities for a portfolio of commercial properties
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
• Complete bank reconciliations and general ledger account analysis
• Review rent rolls, CAM charges, and tenant billings
• Assist with variance analysis and financial reporting
• Maintain accurate records within Yardi
• Partner with property management to resolve accounting questions and discrepancies
• Support special projects and ad hoc requests as needed during the engagement

• 3+ years of property accounting experience
  , with a focus on commercial real estate
• Yardi experience required (Voyager strongly preferred)
• Strong understanding of month‑end close and GAAP principles
• Proficiency with Excel (pivot tables, lookups)
• Ability to work independently and adapt quickly in a temporary environment
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills
