About the Opportunity

Our client, a well-established and growing real estate company, is seeking a Junior Staff Accountant (A/R) to join their collaborative accounting team. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their accounting career who is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and looking to grow within a stable and professional real estate environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day‑to‑day accounts receivable functions including invoicing, cash applications, and payment posting
  • Prepare and distribute tenant invoices, statements, and billing adjustments
  • Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances in a professional and timely manner
  • Research and resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues
  • Reconcile A/R subledger to the general ledger and assist with month‑end close
  • Process and record incoming payments (ACH, checks, wires, online payments)
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation
  • Assist with tenant account reconciliations and reporting for property management teams
  • Support accounting team with ad hoc reporting, audit preparation, and special projects
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with property management, leasing, and finance teams
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • 1–3 years of accounting or accounts receivable experience
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs a plus)
  • Experience with accounting or property management software preferred (Yardi, MRI, App Folio, or similar)
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
