Responsibilities
- Handling incoming requests from tenants by phone and e‑mail, and managing inquiries.
- Managing accounts receivable to ensure timely rent collection per company policy for non‑payment and updating comments.
- Collecting, reviewing, inputting, and calculating monthly and annual tenant sales.
- Preparing, analyzing, and posting daily tenant cash receipts promptly.
- Preparing tenant account reconciliations.
- Reviewing daily cash reconciliations.
- Running, reviewing, and posting monthly tenant rent billings.
- Reviewing and processing late fees.
- Sending statements and supporting annual CAM reconciliations and estimates upon request.
- Preparing billing adjustments, write‑offs, payment corrections, mergers, and security deposit refunds/forfeits based on lease documents and open/close notifications.
- Managing tenant refund stale‑dated checks.
- Compiling proper backup and sending monthly bill‑back invoices.
- Providing accounting support to property management team and participating in periodic meetings with property managers.
- Assisting with ad‑hoc reports as required.
- Work in a team environment while also being able to work independently on certain tasks.
- Use Microsoft products (including Word and Excel).
- Utilize Office/Retail specific applications (MRI).
- Build and maintain strong positive relationships with Operations and Tenants.
- Minimum one year experience in collections and a customer service environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Self‑starter with the ability to work independently.
- Strong communication skills.
- Flexible to change and able to work in a team environment.
- Demonstrated initiative and professionalism.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Degree in Accounting or Finance, preferred.
Base Pay Range: $27.50 - $33.51. Actual placement within this range may vary based upon relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
