Salary Range: $65,000.00 To $90,000.00 Annually

Our Tax team helps businesses and individuals navigate complex tax regulations with clarity and confidence, combining deep technical knowledge with the personalized attention our clients rely on.

As a Staff Accountant, you will support tax compliance and consulting services across a varied client base, building the technical skills and client relationships that form the foundation of a strong career in public accounting.

• Prepare federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals, corporations, and trusts.
• Gather and organize client tax data, analyze financial information, and ensure accurate reporting and compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.
• Perform tax research using internal resources and external databases, document findings, and communicate results to senior staff.
• Assist with tax planning projects by compiling data, performing calculations, and drafting preliminary recommendations.
• Communicate with clients to request information, clarify data, and provide status updates on tax filings.
• Collaborate with audit and accounting teams to ensure consistency and accuracy across financial and tax reporting.
• Help mentor less experienced team members, support firm recruiting efforts, and model our operating values with a positive, solutions‑focused approach.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field with an accounting emphasis

Licensure:
Currently pursuing or planning to pursue CPA certification

Technology:
Proficiency in Excel, Word, Teams, and Adobe; experience with CCH, Pro System FX, or Thomson Reuters Checkpoint is a plus

Skills:

Strong communication, attention to detail, analytical mindset, and a team‑first approach

This role targets between 1,700 and 1,850 chargeable hours annually. Tax has two busy seasons, with weekly hours expected to reach 55 during peak periods. You will gain hands‑on experience across a variety of industries and client types, supported by a team that invests in your development.
