Position SummaryWe are looking for a highly capable Tax Senior or Tax Supervisor to join our expanding tax practice. This dynamic role requires a strong technical professional who will hands-on prepare complex tax returns while taking on supervisory review responsibilities. As a CPA, you will act as a key liaison between staff accountants and firm leadership, driving engagement delivery and mentoring the next generation of tax professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare highly complex corporate, partnership, trust, and individual tax returns.
- Review tax work papers and returns prepared by associates, ensuring technical accuracy.
- Research sophisticated federal and state tax issues and draft technical memoranda.
- Manage engagement timelines, workflows, and budgets for multiple client accounts.
- Serve as a direct point of contact for clients to resolve tax inquiries and gather documentation.
- Provide active mentorship, feedback, and on-the-job training to junior staff.
- 5 or more years of progressive tax experience in a public accounting environment.
- Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is mandatory.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field.
- Advanced proficiency in navigating complex federal, state, and multi-state tax laws.
- Proven experience managing workflows and reviewing the work of junior team members.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
- Clear, professional communication skills for interaction with team members and clients.
- Competitive salary ranging from $110,000 to $125,000 annually.
