Controller, Accounting, Financial Controller

Location:

Irvine, CA (Onsite 5 Days/Week)

We are partnering with a growing manufacturing company seeking a hands-on Controller to lead day-to-day accounting operations and help strengthen processes as the business continues to scale.

This is not a highly strategic, board-facing Controller role. We are looking for someone who enjoys being involved in the details, takes ownership of the accounting function, and can drive improvements across close, reporting, inventory, and operational accounting processes.

• Own the month-end and year-end close process
• Oversee general ledger, account reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Manage inventory accounting and support operational finance activities
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting
• Partner with operations and leadership teams to improve processes and controls
• Develop and mentor accounting staff
• Support ERP optimization and process improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or a business degree with an emphasis in accounting, required
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, Senior Accounting Manager, or similar leadership role
• Manufacturing, distribution, consumer products, industrial, or inventory-heavy industry experience
• Strong understanding of inventory accounting, cost accounting, and financial reporting
• Experience leading month-end close and managing accounting operations
• ERP system experience required
• CPA preferred but not required
