Staff Accountant

We are hiring for a great client in Irvine, CA seeking a Staff Accountant to join their accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional with at least 2 years of experience who enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced corporate environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with journal entries, reconciliations, month-end close activities, and general accounting support functions.

• Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger activity
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed
• Maintain supporting schedules and accounting documentation
• Assist with financial reporting and internal accounting requests
• Work closely with the Controller and Accounting Supervisor on daily accounting operations
• Support audits and provide requested documentation
• Assist with process improvements and special projects as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience required
• Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close activities
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles
• Proficiency with Excel and accounting/ERP systems
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills
