Overview
We have an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated Accounting Manager based in our Irvine, CA office. This role will oversee general ledger accounting, accounts payable, procurement, leases, fixed assets, and Oracle Projects. The Accounting Manager will lead a team, manage day‑to‑day accounting activities, collaborate with cross‑functional partners, and support the financial close process. Reports to the Assistant Controller.
Responsibilities- Oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and monthly/annual closing processes.
- Manage the accounting team: hiring, training, performance evaluations, and professional development.
- Motivate, mentor, and drive a culture of continuous improvement.
- Perform year‑over‑year and period‑over‑period variance analysis for consolidated financials, ensuring accuracy through cross‑functional collaboration.
- Review period‑end account reconciliations and reporting packages; assist departments in understanding financial results.
- Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Coordinate annual audits and prepare necessary schedules and disclosures.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory standards, and internal controls.
- Proactively research and document conclusions on accounting and compliance issues, citing relevant GAAP and internal policies.
- Lead special projects, including lease and fixed‑asset accounting initiatives, Oracle Projects enhancements, report development, and establishing new reconciliations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in public accounting.
- 2‑5 years of supervisory experience.
- Active CPA license.
- Strong confidentiality, initiative, and judgment.
- Ability to communicate confidently with external auditors.
- Excellent collaborative, teamwork, verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to meet schedules and deadlines.
- Highly self‑motivated, independent, and proactive.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Some travel required.
- Full‑time, Salaried, Exempt.
- Salary range: $127,000‑$175,000 per year.
- Office hours:

In‑N‑Out Burger invites applicants to the Irvine, CA office. The position is 100% in‑office. Please note that the Irvine office will permanently close in 2029, and associates may be relocated to Baldwin Park, CA, or another location in the future.
