Accounting Manager Reporting to: EVP and Controller

Full-Time | Exempt About the Role City Ventures is seeking a detail-oriented and highly analytical Accounting Manager to support our growing Finance team. Reporting to the Controller, this role plays a critical part in managing day-to-day accounting operations and delivering accurate, timely financial reporting.

The Accounting Manager will help ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, strengthen internal controls, and support strategic business initiatives. What You’ll DoPrepare and coordinate quarterly and annual financial statements, including supporting schedules and disclosures

Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP (including ASC 606 and ASC 842)
Support the annual audit process and serve as a key liaison with external auditors

Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analyses

Apply technical expertise across revenue recognition, lease accounting, cost capitalization, asset impairments, and equity/debt transactions

Develop and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls

Partner with cross-functional teams to identify and communicate financial risks and opportunities

Contribute to process improvements, automation initiatives, and cost-efficiency efforts

Support business development and transaction-related accounting activities

Conduct technical accounting research and assist with ad hoc projects

What You Bring Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (required)5+ years of accounting/finance experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or equivalent role Experience in real estate or homebuilding strongly preferred

Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAPAdvanced Excel skills

Experience with accounting systems (New Star/Constellation preferred)
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications CPA license (active)
MBA or advanced degree

Compensation: $115K - $130K annual salary plus discretionary bonus, commensurate with experience.
