Dynamic CPA firm seeks a Senior Manager in Government Audit with expertise in Non-Profit sectors – Path to Directorship / Partnership – Flexible work configuration

The Senior Manager acts as the intermediary between the Partner, client, and staff members. Responsibilities include overseeing multiple audit and accounting projects simultaneously, managing workflow coordination, staff development, and client relationship maintenance.

• Manage various phases of multiple audit engagements concurrently
• Maintain regular communication with clients throughout the year, understanding their business and control systems
• Inform Director or Partner of any significant updates on client accounts and suggest solutions for potential issues
• Show expertise in technical skills, maintaining quality work, and applying professional standards when advising clients
• Create, track, and adhere to budgets for assigned engagements
• Oversee staff accountants and senior accountants, providing guidance and review of their work
• Participate in business development initiatives

• Minimum Qualifications:
• Accounting degree or related field
• 5+ years of public accounting experience, specializing in auditing local and state governments in CA and/or OR
• Active CPA license
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Team leadership skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Thorough knowledge of GAAP, GASB, US GAAS, and Government Auditing Standards
• Responsive to training and feedback

• Hybrid work setup (home, office, client site)
• Occasional same-day travel for client meetings
• Some overnight travel for client work or seminars
