Job DescriptionWithum's Auditing and Attest Engagement services are the cornerstone of the firm. The audit and advisory team provides audit services, reviews, compilations, and other agreed-upon procedures to a variety of client sizes and industries to give stakeholders confidence in financial information.
Role LocationThis Audit Senior role will be based in the Orange County, CA office. You will work alongside an integrated team of seasoned CPAs and industry leaders and take a lead role on all aspects of audit engagements, from planning to completion, including supervision and mentoring of staff and building relationships with clients.
How You ll Spend Your Time- Lead the engagement team staff on the planning and execution of an audit, review, or compilation engagement to provide world-class client service
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the audit engagement, including staffing, planning, risk assessment, fieldwork, financial reporting, and conclusion
- Provide supervision and support to engagement staff and promote open communication with the engagement manager and partner
- Collaborate with managers and partners on client issue resolutions and advise on legal, regulatory, and accounting issues that arise during an audit
- Review all scheduled and non-scheduled general ledger accounts for accurate entries
- Manage multiple engagements concurrently with various teams to meet client deadlines
- Create and track engagement budgets to identify inefficiencies
- Conduct constructive evaluations with team members and provide counsel accordingly
- Participate in professional development programs as an instructor or discussion leader
- Bachelor s Degree in Accounting
- Licensed CPA, or working toward CPA certification
- At least 2 years of public accounting experience with experience leading multiple engagements and supervising staff
- Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills with familiarity with US GAAP
- Exceptional client service and communication skills with the ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and projects in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills with excellent verbal, written, and presentation abilities
- Excellent analytical, organizational, project management skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability
- Ability to travel as needed
The compensation range for this position is $88,000–$110,000. In addition to base pay, Withum offers a competitive benefits package and a bonus program (for eligible roles) based on individual and firm performance.
