We’re recruiting a Sr. Technical Accountant to support complex accounting activities, financial reporting, and process improvements in a collaborative environment.
Location:
Hybrid in Irvine, CA
Salary: $85,000–$99,000
Responsibilities- Manage accounting activities for complex financial transactions while ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with U.S. GAAP.
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting analyses as part of the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process.
- Analyze financial data and research accounting guidance to determine the appropriate treatment for non-routine transactions.
- Partner with teams across Finance, Treasury, Capital Markets, and Financial Reporting to resolve accounting issues and support business initiatives.
- Prepare schedules and documentation to support internal and external audit requests while maintaining a strong control environment.
- Monitor cash activity and reconcile key balance sheet accounts to ensure financial accuracy.
- Recommend and implement process improvements that enhance reporting, strengthen controls, and increase operational efficiency.
- Develop reporting tools and maintain organized documentation to support ongoing accounting operations.
- Leverage strong analytical skills to interpret large data sets and provide meaningful financial insights.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of accounting experience, including public accounting, corporate accounting, or a combination of both.
- CPA designation or active pursuit of certification is preferred;
Big 4 or other public accounting experience is a plus. - Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and experience applying accounting guidance to complex transactions.
- Proficiency in Excel with the ability to work efficiently with large data sets; SQL knowledge is a plus.
- Experience supporting financial close, reconciliations, audit activities, and financial reporting.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships.
