Financial Reporting, Accounting Manager
A growing public company is seeking a Manager of SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting to join its corporate finance team. This role offers the opportunity to partner with accounting, finance, legal, and executive leadership while supporting critical reporting and compliance initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys technical research, SEC reporting, process improvement, and working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities- Lead the preparation and review of quarterly and annual SEC filings, including Forms 10-Q, 10-K, and other public company reporting requirements
- Prepare and review financial statement disclosures and footnotes in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations
- Research and document technical accounting matters, including complex and non-routine transactions
- Prepare accounting position papers and technical memos
- Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Support external audits and quarterly review procedures
- Maintain and enhance SOX controls and documentation
- Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes and improve efficiency
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- 5+ years of accounting experience with SEC reporting responsibilities
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and public company reporting requirements
- Experience preparing technical accounting analyses and memos
- CPA preferred
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong communication, organizational, and project management abilities
