About the Role:
Responsible for all activities in accounts receivable function.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Record all payments received such as checks, wires, and lockboxes daily and ensure they adhere to customer remittance advice
- Prepare bank deposits and deliver to the bank
- Posting sales invoices, monitoring and releasing credit block when applicable
- Promptly prepare and distribute hardware maintenance and software maintenance summary invoices
- Distributing sales invoices including invoice submission into customer portal, aging reports and statements to customers
- Reconcile customer accounts on a monthly basis to ensure balances recorded on the books and the customer books are accurate
- Review and monitor the AR aging to ensure that aged balances are current and advise on such balances that are significantly aged to management
- Contact customers for any delay in payments and raise any significant issues to management in a timely manner
- Assisted with new customer onboarding by ensuring completion of customer setup documentation, analyzing Dun & Bradstreet reports and credit inquiry forms to provide management with recommendations supporting customer credit limit requests, and coordinating with the Sales Tax department to establish customer tax exemption status in SAP
- Assist with customer master maintenance
- Review pro-forma invoices for Cash In Advance (CIA) customers and advise sales department once the cash has been received to start processing the order
- Prepare and distribute A/R reports as needed or requested by management
- Maintain accuracy of A/R aging report by conducting account research and analysis
- Review monthly A/R reports with upper management and provide assistance on the outstanding issues
- Interact with customers to resolve outstanding issues
- Assist with vendor set up in SAP
- Regular worksite attendance

- Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university in accounting or finance preferred; and 2-3 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

- Able to meet deadlines on a consistent basis
- Interact professionally with other employees, customers, and suppliers

- Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to analyze detail and perform structured decision-making on a daily basis
- Ability to develop solutions to a variety of problems of moderate to large scope and complexity using company or departmental policies as guidelines
- Must be capable of managing multiple priorities effectively and be able to identify and recommend best course of action from several alternatives
