This role oversees the financial management of commercial office, retail tenant improvement, and capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects throughout their entire lifecycle from inception to closeout. They are responsible for monitoring budgets and cost variances, managing Tenant Improvement allowances, preparing journal entries, and processing broker commission payments in compliance with lease agreements. Partnering across Construction, Property Management, Leasing, and Finance, the position ensures accurate accounting, timely payments, and seamless support for financial closes and audits.
- Oversee accounting and budget tracking for commercial Office and Retail Tenant Improvement / CAPEX projects from start to project closeout.
- Monitor budgets, commitments, change orders, and spending to investigate and resolve job cost variances.
- Prepare and record construction journal entries, accruals, and final cost reconciliations.
- Assist with final project reconciliations and closeout financial procedures.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes while maintaining balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.
- Review lease commission packages to ensure accuracy and compliance with executed agreements and company policies.
- Calculate, validate, and process broker commission payments for new leases, renewals, expansions, and amendments.
- Partner with Leasing, Asset Management, and Accounts Payable to track obligations and ensure timely commission disbursements.
- Support interim and year-end audits and provide requested documentation.
Skills:
- Proficient in the creation and use of advanced formulas in Excel, pivot tables, and lookup tables.
- Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience)

Base Pay Range:$84,100.00 -$
Actual placement within this range may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
