Job SummaryThe Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of lease portfolio accounting, including general ledger ownership, account reconciliations, financial reporting support, and compliance with internal controls. This role leads a team of three accountants and is responsible for driving operational excellence through process automation, team development, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Accounting Manager partners closely with accounting leadership to support month end close, interim and annual audits, and strategic accounting projects.
This position reports directly to the Corporate Controller.
- Oversee all aspects of lease portfolio accounting activities, including ownership of all related general ledger accounts, reconciliations and supporting schedules. This includes being first level reviewer of all the teams related work.
- Review and approve team-prepared work papers, reconciliations, and accounting entries to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Lead and support the timely completion of month-end and quarter-end close processes, meeting established close timelines.
- Prepare or Review journal entries while ensuring adherence to internal controls requirements.
- Review revenue analytics and financial reporting workbooks prepared by the team.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency, accuracy and business insights.
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations and supporting schedules as needed, particularly for complex, high-risk, or critical accounts.
- Review and approve all account reconciliations and supporting work papers prepared by the team to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies.
- Ensure timely resolution of reconciling items and the maintenance of accurate financial records.
- Identify opportunities to improve reconciliation processes, strengthen controls, and enhance reporting efficiency.
- Partner with accounting leadership to facilitate efficient and successful annual audits.
- Coordinate audit requests, maintain supporting documentation, and serve as a primary liaison with external auditors.
- Support year-end trial balance reviews and financial statement preparation.
- Identify, develop, and implement process enhancements that improve efficiency, scalability, and control effectiveness.
- Champion the use of technology, automation, and AI-driven tools to streamline accounting operations.
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of three accounting professionals.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Perform ad hoc analyses, support special projects, and carry out other responsibilities as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in accounting with at least 1 year of people management experience
- Lease accounting experience preferred; strong Fixed Assets accounting experience required.
- Thorough understanding of accounting principles, internal controls, and financial reporting.
- High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential financial information
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong ownership mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel. Experience in Net Suite or other ERP system preferred.
- Demonstrated interest in leveraging automation and AI technologies to enhance accounting process and decision-making. Experience in using AI tools is preferred but not required.

- Salary: $110,000 - $140,000
- Performance Bonus:
Eligible for a quarterly bonus of up to 10%, bringing the total compensation range to $121,000 – $154,000. - Health Benefits:
