The Project Cost Accounting Manager is a pivotal leadership position responsible for safeguarding the financial integrity of our highest-profile data center and construction projects. This role demands expert-level accounting capabilities, strong analytical judgment, and a highly collaborative approach. You will oversee Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedules, manage compliance with GAAP, and act as a critical financial partner to our Project Management and Executive leadership teams.

• GAAP Compliance: Manage and execute the organization's revenue recognition in strict accordance with GAAP parameters using the POC method.
• WIP Schedule Management: Maintain, analyze, and audit complex Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedules, carefully tracking costs incurred, earned revenue, and estimated costs to complete.
• Project Forecast Validation: Partner directly with Project Managers to review project velocity, validate monthly forecasts, and adjust cost-to-complete metrics.
• Risk & Variance Mitigation: Proactively identify project overruns, variance flags, and revenue risks; synthesize financial findings into actionable insights for the executive team.
• Audit Support: Serve as the core point of contact for internal and external audits concerning revenue recognition frameworks and broad project accounting operations.
• Operational Reporting: Deliver accurate project cost metrics, inventory values, and specialized financial reports to department managers to optimize daily operational decisions.
• Internal Controls: Monitor financial workflows to maintain strong internal control practices and elevate potential operational anomalies promptly.
• Training & Documentation: Standardize, document, and train cross-functional staff on advanced project cost accounting workflows and inventory transactions.
• Strategic Alignment: Build continuous feedback loops across Finance, Operations, Project Management, and Executive Leadership to harmonize financial oversight with project milestones.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience: Minimum of 4+ years of dedicated project or cost accounting experience within a construction, manufacturing, engineering, or project-based setting.
• Technical Mastery: Proven, hands‑on experience utilizing Percentage-of-Completion (POC) revenue frameworks.
• Software: Direct proficiency and hands‑on familiarity with Sage 100 Inventory Management Software

• Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of GAAP standards, sophisticated WIP reporting, project financial workflows, and accurate inventory valuation methods.
