Senior Tax Analyst

We are seeking a Tax & Accounting Analyst to support indirect tax compliance and accounting operations within a dynamic energy-focused environment. This role is responsible for sales and use tax reporting, tax research, compliance activities, audit support, and general accounting functions.

• Prepare and review monthly sales, use, and excise tax returns.
• Reconcile tax-related accounts and ensure accurate tax reporting.
• Maintain tax registrations, licenses, permits, and exemption certificates.
• Research multistate tax issues and monitor changes in tax regulations.
• Review contracts and transactions for tax implications and compliance requirements.
• Respond to tax notices and support state and local tax audits.
• Partner with external tax advisors and internal stakeholders on tax-related matters.
• Identify opportunities to improve and automate tax processes.
• Support month-end close, account reconciliations, and year-end audit activities.
• Prepare tax estimates, accruals, and management reports.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 5+ years of sales and use tax experience.
• 3+ years of financial accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of general accounting principles.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
