Accounting Analyst

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Analyst for an on-site opportunity in Irvine, CA. The ideal candidate should be able to complete the following functions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Compiles, analyzes, and reports cost accounting information to support management decision-making, including product costs, manufacturing variances, inventory valuation, and cost of goods sold. Analyzes material, labor, overhead, scrap, rework, and other manufacturing cost drivers to identify trends, discrepancies, and improvement opportunities. Supports month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, inventory analysis, and variance reporting. Maintains and reviews standard costs, bills of material, routings, and overhead rates in coordination with operations, supply chain, and finance.

Prepares financial and operational reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing cost, inventory, and manufacturing performance data. Partners with operations and management to explain cost variances, evaluate business performance, and recommend corrective actions. Ensures compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and applicable financial reporting requirements. Supports budgeting, forecasting, and planning activities related to manufacturing costs, inventory, and cost of goods sold.
