- Oversee and monitor the day-to-day operations of accounting staff for the company's investment funds
- Establish and continuously review accounting policies and procedures
- Maintain and develop effective internal controls and procedures
- Produce timely and accurate financial reports and information
- Work with the outside accounting firm on the year-end audit
- Perform a detailed review of audit reports before final issuance
- Respond to investor requests for reports and information
- Mentor and develop the company's accounting staff
- Report to a Controller
- Proficient in using accounting technology and artificial intelligence
- Supervising and mentoring professional staff
- GAAP financial reporting, preferably as it relates to investment companies, registered funds, and funds of funds
- Planning and performing financial statement audits
- Financial analysis skills
- Management and mentoring skills
- Initiative and creativity
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Collaborative and team-oriented

- CPA or Chartered Accountant strongly preferred
- 6-10 years of experience preferred
- Southern California candidates only
- Must be able to attend periodic onsite meetings in the Irvine office

Demonstrates expertise in GAAP financial reporting and financial statement audits, with a strong focus on investment companies and funds. Proven ability to mentor accounting staff while maintaining effective internal controls and producing accurate financial reports.
