Cost Accountant - Orange County , CA Direct Hire Accounting $90K to $120K

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Cost Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $90,000 to $120,000 per year.

Support cost accounting activities, including inventory analysis, cost tracking, reconciliations, and financial reporting processes.

Prepare journal entries, assist with month end close activities, and maintain accurate supporting documentation for accounting records.

Analyze manufacturing costs, operational performance, and product profitability to support informed business decisions.

Assist with budgeting, cost modeling, variance analysis, and reporting related to production and operational activities.

Partner with operations, engineering, supply chain, and finance teams to support process improvements and financial initiatives.

A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

2+ years of accounting, cost accounting, manufacturing finance, or related experience.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and account reconciliation procedures.

Previous experience with accounting systems, ERP platforms, and financial reporting tools.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to analyze complex financial data.

Manufacturing, semiconductor, technology, or industrial industry experience.

Strong understanding of cost accounting methodologies, inventory valuation, and product cost analysis.

Prior experience with standard costing, variance analysis, activity based costing, or similar cost management techniques.

Excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work collaboratively across departments, adapt to changing priorities, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
