Full Charge Bookkeeper

Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to support retail accounting operations in South Orange County, California. This Contract to Permanent position will oversee day-to-day financial activity, maintain accurate records, and help ensure timely processing of transactions across payables, receivables, and reconciliations. The ideal candidate brings strong Quick Books experience and a hands-on approach to managing the full bookkeeping cycle in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

- Manage the complete bookkeeping process, including recording financial activity and maintaining organized, accurate ledgers.

- Process vendor invoices and payments while monitoring due dates to keep accounts payable current and well documented.

- Create and track customer invoices, apply incoming payments, and follow up on outstanding balances to support accounts receivable accuracy.

- Reconcile bank and financial statements on a regular basis to identify discrepancies and maintain reliable reporting.

- Maintain accounting records in Quick Books and ensure transactions are entered correctly and consistently.

- Review financial data for completeness and accuracy, resolving routine issues that may affect reporting or cash flow.

- Support month-end bookkeeping activities by preparing account summaries and keeping records ready for review

Requirements

- Automotive Industry Accounting experience required .

- Proficiency with Quick Books and confidence using it for daily accounting and recordkeeping tasks.

- Working knowledge of accounts payable processes, including invoice review and payment coordination.

- Working knowledge of accounts receivable functions, including billing, payment posting, and collections follow-up.

- Experience performing bank reconciliations with strong attention to detail and accuracy.

- Ability to manage multiple accounting tasks independently while meeting deadlines.

- Strong organizational and communication skills to support smooth financial operations.
