Staff Accountant

We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team in Irvine, California on a Contract basis. This opportunity is well suited for an early-career accounting candidate who is eager to build hands-on experience across core financial operations. The role will support day-to-day accounting activities, maintain accurate financial records, and contribute to timely month-end processes while working closely with internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Process vendor invoices, verify supporting documentation, and help ensure payments are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Prepare and post routine journal entries while maintaining organized records for daily accounting activity.
• Reconcile bank statements and investigate discrepancies to keep cash balances and related accounts accurate.
• Support the review and balancing of general ledger accounts by completing account reconciliations and resolving variances.
• Assist with accounts receivable tasks, including tracking incoming payments and following up on outstanding balances when needed.
• Maintain clear and accurate financial documentation to support audits, reporting, and internal controls.
• Contribute to month-end close activities by updating schedules, reviewing transactions, and helping finalize accounting records.
• Partner with finance and operational teams to address transactional issues and improve the accuracy of accounting data.
