The legal secretary supports multiple attorneys by preparing and revising correspondence, pleadings, discovery, and filings; managing electronic case files; coordinating administrative filings and exhibits; maintaining calendars and deadlines; completing expenses and assisting with billing; tracking CLE and bar requirements; arranging travel; preparing notebooks and proofreading; and handling confidential, time‑sensitive materials.
The role requires at least 5 years of legal experience (ideally labor and employment), strong knowledge of legal terminology, e‑filing systems, document databases, and Microsoft Office. Familiarity with billing/expense software, trial prep, and supporting several attorneys is a plus.
Strong communication, proofreading, multitasking, and interpersonal skills are essential, along with reliability and attention to detail. An associate or bachelor's degree is preferred.
