Mobile Vehicle Inspector

• Conduct on-site vehicle condition inspections for dealer clients within an assigned territory
• Locate, start, move, inspect, and safely return vehicles on dealer client lots
• Verify vehicle identification, VINs, mileage, sub-series, and options
• Document vehicle exterior and interior condition, including tires, frame, glass, panels, mechanical components, seating, dashboard, and installed options
• Perform basic mechanical checks across powertrain, drivetrain, and electrical components
• Identify and document damage, missing components, and inoperable features
• Build trust and strong relationships with dealer clients
• Educate clients on Manheim Marketplace and mobile inspection services
• Engage dealers to increase inspection volume and maintain participation
• Use data, insights, and partner input to improve inspection efficiency and territory productivity
• Adapt to changes in appointments and schedules to ensure dealer coverage
• Prepare and submit daily activity and production reports
• Use  for reporting, lead management, and customer performance tracking
• Collaborate with Wholesale Specialists, peers, and other Manheim teams
• Contribute to continuous improvement and Lean process enhancement
• Maintain production expectations and follow safety and health procedures
• Participate in Safety Excellence initiatives
• Comply with Manheim inspection standards, including the NAAA Frame/Structure Damage Policy
• Senior level: perform advanced inspections, mentor peers, support onboarding, and serve as a subject matter resource
• Perform other duties as assigned

• High School Diploma or GED required for Level 1
• Level 2:
  High School Diploma or GED plus 3+ years of experience in a related field, or any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED, or 5 years’ experience in a related field
• Senior Level: High School Diploma/GED plus 5 years’ experience in a related field, or any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience, or 7 years’ experience in a related field
• Previous vehicle inspection experience required for Senior Level
• Strong automotive knowledge (body and mechanical) required for Senior Level
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record required
• Ability to meet physical and mental demands of the role within required time frames
• 0–1 years of automotive-related experience preferred for Level 1
• 1–2 years of automotive-related experience preferred for Level 2
• 2–3 years of automotive-related experience strongly preferred for Senior Level
• 1 year of service with Manheim Inspections recommended for Senior Level
• Minimal automotive knowledge preferred for Level 1
• Must currently be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship
• No OPT, CPT, STEM/OPT or visa sponsorship now or in future
• Must clear a pre-employment drug test

Demonstrates strong automotive knowledge and vehicle inspection expertise, with the ability to conduct thorough inspections and document findings accurately. Capable of building relationships with dealer clients and utilizing  for reporting and lead management.
