** The Financial Benefits Analyst is an individual contributor responsible for delivering high-quality financial, utilization, and benchmarking analysis to support client strategy, renewal planning, and ongoing service partnership with Producers, Benefits Consultants, and Account Managers, this role supports complex client accounts by developing accurate reporting, analyzing trends, and translating data into actionable insights related to plan design, funding, and cost management strategies.
This role is primarily client-facing and execution-focused, with accountability for producing timely, accurate analytical deliverables that support both retention and growth initiatives.
** Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):***(included but are not limited to)
* Client & Financial Analysis
* Drafts accurate financial and analytical exhibits for quarterly and annual client meetings
* Develops utilization and experience reporting using carrier and internal data sources; analyzes trends and identifies opportunities for plan design, funding, and cost containment strategies
* Produces monthly and ad hoc reporting deliverables for clients
* Analyzes industry benchmarks to assess competitiveness and inform client recommendations
* Supports carrier negotiation processes in partnership with Benefits Consultants
* Maintains accurate, current, and organized market and client data within internal systems
* Partners with carrier representatives to ensure data accuracy and integrity
* Assists with modeling and evaluation of alternative funding arrangements, when applicable
Collaboration & Client Support
* Works closely with Benefits Consultants and Account Managers to support renewal and ongoing service strategy
* Provides analytical support for complex client questions and escalations
* Supports prospect and growth opportunities by preparing financial exhibits and analysis as requested
* Participates in client or prospect meetings when analytics support is needed
* Helps translate analytics capabilities into clear, compelling value for clients and prospects
** Qualifications, Skills and Requirements:
*** Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify patterns, trends, and insights in complex data sets
* Advanced verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
* Ability to balance hands-on client work with broader team enablement responsibilities
* Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills across consultants and producers
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
** Education, Training and
Experience:
*** 4+ years of relevant experience in benefits analytics or financial analysis
* Bachelor’s degree required;
Business, Finance, Math, Accounting, or related field preferred
* Proficient in Microsoft Office products, required
* Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, required
* Experience in the healthcare industry with a group insurance carrier, broker, or consulting firm preferred
* Strong knowledge of group insurance products including medical, dental, CDHP, pharmacy, life, and disability
* Experience with database and analytics applications a plus
* Active Health Insurance (Life & Health) license required
