Role Summary
Environmental Client Service Leader responsible for leading and building CDM Smith’s environmental services practice in the Pacific Region. Lead business development activities, oversee client service, and represent the company in environmental associations.
Responsibilities- Lead the development of a business strategy to increase sales of environmental services with existing clients and develop new clients.
- Develop new business and maintain high‑value relationships with key state, city, and local environmental clients.
- Collaborate with client teams including project managers, technical specialists, client service leaders, and marketing staff.
- Develop strategic capture plans, client development plans, proposals, presentations, and other business development deliverables.
- Serve as a key member of the strategy team promoting growth in the region and supporting other western US growth initiatives.
- Serve as a technical or project lead as needed on projects of significant size and strategic importance.
- Be active in professional societies in which clients or potential clients are members.
- Be a strong leader.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 12 years of related experience.
- Domestic and/or international travel may be required. Frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties and responsibilities.
- Equivalently experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Full life‑cycle business development experience in environmental consulting for the public sector in the Western U.S., from prospecting through capture and proposal development.
- Knowledge of RCRA and CERCLA environmental regulations.
- Experience converting IRA and BIL funding to sales with public sector clients.
- Excellent communication, networking and team building skills.
- Strong experience meeting and working with regional environmental agencies.
