Position: Junior Buyer - Contract

Position Overview:

Ultimate Staffing is actively seeking a Contract Junior Buyer to join their client's dynamic team in California. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in procurement and supply chain management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with purchasing activities, ensuring timely delivery of goods, and maintaining strong vendor relationships.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the purchasing of materials and services to meet the operational needs of the company.
  • Support senior buyers in sourcing and negotiating with suppliers to secure the best terms.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records and ensure data is up-to-date within the procurement system.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure product specifications are met.
  • Monitor inventory levels and track purchase orders to ensure timely delivery.
  • Resolve issues related to delivery, quality, and pricing with vendors.
  • Prepare reports on purchasing activities and supplier performance.
  • Support the procurement team in developing and implementing purchasing strategies.
  • Assist with vendor evaluations and contribute to supplier relationship management.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all procurement activities.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in purchasing or supply chain management is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Work Hours:

The position requires working from Monday to Friday, during the first shift.
