Overview

BD is one of the largest global medical technology companies. Advancing the world of health is our purpose. This role focuses on pricing strategy and contract management for distributors and sales contracts.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and develop pricing models for distributor and sales contracts, analyzing market and internal sales data and providing pricing advice for APM U.S. sales staff within business unit guidelines (45%).
  • Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on contract strategies (10%).
  • Identify contract strategies and lead implementation of changes to drive improvements and increase revenue opportunities (10%).
  • Develop and negotiate complex contract terms with customers and distributors (10%).
  • Interface with internal and external customers to complete non‑pricing data needed and obtain clarification to finalize contracts (10%).
  • Generate complex contracts and contract amendments, including extensions, model add/delete, price changes, and terms and conditions (10%).
  • Review all contracts to ensure compliance with established business unit guidelines, securing appropriate approvals (5%).
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of contract terms and conditions, sales field operations, and own area within the organization.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills and ability to influence change.
  • Develop innovative solutions to complex problems, ensuring consistency with organizational objectives.
  • Exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for achieving results.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with 8 years of relevant experience in contract or bid management (or equivalent).
  • Proven successful project management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel); experience with Qlik and ModelN preferred.
  • Excellent documentation, communication, and interpersonal relationship skills, including negotiation and relationship management.
