Job Overview

This role is focused on executing the responsibilities for the Demand Planning process. The Demand Planner creates and maintains forecast models for their product category incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from Sales, Product Marketing, and other sources. This position leads the dialogue with Sales and Product Marketing in analyzing the business to understand our customer, manage and strategize ways to create new demand.

In addition, this position will regularly monitor, update, and message demand. This position will also be the subject matter expert of Demand KPIs used to communicate forecast accuracy and alignment to Financial and corporate targets set (budget / latest operating plan). This person will be a key collaborator in the development in line architecture as well as an integral liaison between the front‑end functions (Product and Sales & Marketing) and back‑end functions (Supply Planning, Supply Operations Planning, Operations, and Finance) in the establishment and execution of the forecast.

This position reports to the Sales and Operations Manager. It is expected to work in the office a minimum of four days a week, and remotely one day a week, but as required, this position will be expected to be in the office to support meetings and business.

Responsibilities
  • Demand forecasting:
    Create the 18‑month rolling SKU/customer forecast utilizing historical data, current order book trends, and statistical models to facilitate consensus business plan agreement.
  • Demand forecasting:
    Create/review/validate rolling 18‑month global and regional SKU‑level demand signals incorporating multi‑channel seasonal demand to ensure balanced global inventory.
  • Demand forecasting:
    Own the Sales Analysis process – identify risks and opportunities with the forecast to demand translation.
  • Demand planning:
    Support the annual financial plan and budgeting process, providing risks and opportunities when needed, evaluate new and end‑of‑life planning, consolidate inputs, develop constrained demand plans.
  • Demand planning:
    Conduct SKU analysis to create line‑architecture targets for the Product Marketing team each season using historical information to make recommendations and provide insight to the business about SKU quantities and needs.
  • Delivery innovation:
    Trail timelines and seasonal buy planning to meet customer delivery needs.
  • Demand planning:
    Toggle between minute details and high‑level perspective to interpret and communicate impact to the business.
  • Monthly meetings:
    Attend all required monthly planning and merchandising meetings.
  • Reporting & Analysis:
    Track and report KPIs and objectives, present KPIs, product reviews, forecasts to leadership.
  • Reporting & Analysis:
    Develop, implement, and maintain dashboard reporting to support continuous improvement of the supply chain based on metric‑driven decisions.
  • Systems:
    Ensure forecast load and push to SAP is completed successfully each month, review and adjust forecast‑to‑forecast deviations, identify key variances, risks and opportunities, challenge discrepancies, identify IT issues and inform the team on back‑up plans.
Qualifications

  • Passion for embracing AI, Power BI, and other analytical and reporting tools.
Desired Skills
  • Familiarity with supply chain operations and S&OP processes.
  • BS/BA in a relevant field (Economics, Finance, Math, Business); MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Planning / Analytics functions.
  • High functional competency in Logility and Oracle.
Compensation

Pay range:
