Your Role on the Team
Under the general direction of the Faculty Director, the Accounting and Taxation Clinic Coordinator manages the development and administration of an Accounting and Taxation Clinic that supports industry alliance programs and projects. The coordinator provides pro bono accounting and taxation support to local private businesses, enhances student professional development, and supports the Merage School’s Private Business Initiative. Responsibilities include creating and modifying clinic policies, procedures, and infrastructure;
managing clinic communications with clients, the public, advisory boards, and CPA firm mentors; planning and coordinating clinic activities and educational conferences; managing the clinic website and student and client application processes; developing and issuing engagement letters; staffing client engagements with student teams and CPA mentors; and overseeing day‑to‑day operations and administrative management to enhance visibility, stakeholder engagement, and program effectiveness.
Note:
This is a part‑time limited appointment (up to 16 hours per week).
- Ability to perform all commonly applicable functions in commonly used word processing, presentation, spreadsheet software and web applications.
- Professionalism, interpersonal, and communication skills. Ability to develop working relationships within the department, among campus staff and faculty, and with industry partners. Demonstrated customer service orientation.
- Knowledge of industry alliance and client service concepts and practices.
- Proven organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks. Initiative.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, and industry professionals and support administrative needs of volunteer CPA mentors and the Faculty Director.
- Experience tracking and using data to innovate, analyze, solve problems and communicate results and solutions based on data.
- Willingness to research and gain a basic understanding of the accounting profession and typical types of engagements serviced by accountants/CPAs.
- Bachelor's degree in a related area or equivalent experience or training.
- Experience working with project/case management systems.
- Experience planning and executing events such as conferences and workshops.
- Ability to develop and update process and procedure manuals and manage client application and vetting processes effectively.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience providing executive‑level administrative support and managing/coordinating events.
- Hybrid position with some onsite work expected each week while the clinic is in session.

The expected pay range for this recruitment is $34.95–$41.74 (Hourly).
