Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Sales Order Processor to join their growing team. This position plays a critical role in supporting the order fulfillment process by ensuring customer orders are entered accurately, processed efficiently, and communicated effectively across multiple internal departments. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with data and systems, and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Process and enter customer sales orders accurately and timely
- Review orders for completeness, pricing accuracy, and compliance with company requirements
- Coordinate with Sales, Warehouse, Logistics, and Customer Service teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment
- Communicate order status updates, shipment information, and delivery timelines to customers
- Track and resolve order discrepancies, backorders, and shipping issues
- Maintain accurate customer and order records within the ERP system
- Generate reports and assist with order tracking and inventory inquiries
- Support returns, credits, and other order-related transactions as needed
- Assist with process improvements and administrative projects within the department
- 2+ years of experience in order processing, customer service, sales support, or a related administrative role
- Experience working within an ERP system (SAP, Oracle, Net Suite, Dynamics, or similar)
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving issues
- Experience working in a manufacturing, distribution, or product-based environment
- Familiarity with shipping, logistics, inventory, or supply chain processes
- Experience supporting high-volume order processing
Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certification requirements, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
