We have an immediate opening for a commercial construction estimator in Irvine, CA. The ideal candidate will have expertise in utilizing Excel on an expert level, Blue Beam software for accurate cost estimation and be proficient in reading specifications and blueprints. The role involves assessing project requirements, conducting quantity take-offs, analyzing costs, and preparing comprehensive estimates to support the bidding process.

• Utilize Excel and Blue Beam software and other relevant tools to perform accurate quantity take-offs and cost estimations for commercial construction projects.
• Interpret and analyze project specifications to ensure thorough understanding of requirements and constraints.
• Review and analyze architectural and engineering blueprints, identifying key components and understanding project scope.
• Evaluate material, labor, and equipment costs, considering market trends, supplier quotes, and historical data to produce reliable estimates.
• Prepare detailed and comprehensive bid proposals, incorporating all relevant cost factors and ensuring competitive pricing.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information and ensure accuracy of estimates.
• Maintain organized documentation of all estimation processes, including records of quantities, pricing, and assumptions made during the estimation process.
• Stay updated on industry trends, construction technologies, and best practices related to estimation methods and software tools.

• 2+ years of experience as a Construction Estimator in commercial construction projects.
• Must be proficient in MS Office Suite and an Advanced Excel user.
• Proficient in using Blue Beam software for quantity take-offs and estimation processes.
• Strong ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering blueprints and specifications.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with the ability to accurately calculate costs and analyze data.
• Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in quantity take-offs and cost estimations.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate with various stakeholders and present estimation findings clearly and convincingly.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced construction environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field is preferred but not required.
• Relevant certifications in construction estimation or Blue Beam software are advantageous.
