Sr. Estimator Multi-family and Mixed-Use Construction

Top ENR GC seeking a Sr. Estimator for their Multi-family and mixed use division. In office role seated in Irvine, CA. Salary $140,000 - $220,000 per year. This is a permanent position with opportunities for growth.

Our company is seeking an experienced and dedicated Sr. Estimator for Multi-family and Mixed-Use Construction. As a senior member of our team, you will play a crucial role in the planning and execution of our construction projects. Your primary duty will be to estimate the costs associated with multi-family and mixed-use construction projects, including market rate apartments, senior living, and commercial mixed use.

This role is a permanent position and requires a candidate with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field. A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience of 10+ years within our industry is preferred. Beck Software Systems experience (D-Profiler & D-Est) is a plus. Field experience is a plus. Ability to prepare complex proposals.

Detailed, highly organized and focused. Thorough knowledge of estimating techniques, engineering disciplines and sub-trade required. Ability to effectively communicate with internal team and architects, with ability to present to clients.

• Overall planning and management of estimating activities for residential/mixed-use construction projects, including preparation, interpretation and presentation of estimates.
• Review proposal specifications, drawings, attend pre-estimate meetings, analyze requests for proposals to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
• Provide conceptual and final estimating input on complex projects.
• Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and materials pricing.
• Track awarded contracts as required; may include estimating/pricing extra work items, change orders, credit, procuring materials on major work items.
• Must be extremely thorough and produce highly accurate estimates.
• Able to work in Irvine office working directly for VP Estimating.
• Collaborate closely with Vice Presidents, Precon Manager, and Project Directors.

• 10-15 years’ estimating experience for a General Contractor with Multifamily focus.
• Experience with Market Rate Apartments, Affordable Housing, Senior Living, and Mixed-Use.
• Familiar with trade scopes of work across all product types (podium, wrap, SOG, Type I, Type III).
• Able to develop complete Conceptual Estimates, Hard Bid Estimates, Negotiated GMP’s, and Value Engineering.
• Beck Software Systems experience a plus (D-Profiler & D-Est).
• Effectively communicate and build relationships with internal team, architects, and trade partners.
• Ability to present to clients and close deals.
• Office in Irvine, working directly for VP Estimating; collaborate closely with Vice Presidents, Precon Manager, and Project Directors.
