The Superintendent is responsible for the day-to-day operations on-site and provides management for all phases of client construction projects, including coordinating subcontractors, material and equipment, scheduling, inspections, quality control, and job site safety. The field superintendent is accountable for the timely completion of the project and ensuring that it is constructed in strict accordance with plans, specifications, and local codes. Project types generally include ground‑up (industrial, office, and medical), tenant improvement/build‑out, and tenant remodel.

Working with subcontractors and internal project management, the field superintendent ensures that project specifications are strictly followed and work proceeds on schedule, within budget, and in adherence to project standards and contract specifications. Salary range: $95,000–$110,000.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Sets up project trailer, opens the job site at the beginning of the day, and secures the job site at the end of the day.
  • Organizes trailer project files and plans on a plan rack.
  • Actively participates in weekly subcontractor meetings designed to coordinate the work, preparing meeting agenda, minutes, and a two‑week look‑ahead schedule.
  • Verifies subcontractor has signed contract and proper certificate of insurance in place five days prior to beginning scheduled work on the job site.
  • Ensures that the subcontractor is fully executing and complying with the contracted scope of work and enforces and informs subcontractor requirements, terms, conditions, and the company’s safety control policies and project specifications.
  • Coordinates required inspections with local jurisdictions.
  • Coordinates and schedules all subcontractor activities and identifies subcontractor non‑compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards.
  • Identifies conflicts in construction progress and communicates them to the project team for resolution.
  • Maintains a daily written log of activities on the job site.
  • Collects and maintains subcontractor “Toolbox Meeting Outlines” and submits them to the office weekly.
  • Performs daily job site inspections and requires adherence to all applicable OSHA regulations and PPE.
  • Represents the company professionally in project meetings, subcontractor, and field communications.
  • Completes weekly job site safety checklists and submits to the general superintendent, reporting any on‑site incident and/or accidents to the Director of Field Operations within 24 hours of the incident/accident.
