Assistant Project Manager, Construction
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support our project management team in executing commercial tilt-up and ground-up construction projects. The ideal candidate is organized, eager to learn, and ready to grow into a leadership role in the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist the Project Manager with coordination of all project phases from pre-construction through closeout
- Help manage project schedules, budgets, and documentation
- Prepare RFIs, submittals, change orders, and meeting minutes
- Track materials, procurement, and subcontractor progress
- Participate in project meetings and job site walkthroughs
- Maintain communication with internal teams, clients, and vendors
- Support safety compliance and quality assurance efforts
- Ensure timely delivery of project deliverables and updates
- 2+ years of experience in commercial construction, preferably with ground-up and tilt-wall projects
- Strong understanding of construction documents and processes
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction software (Procore, Bluebeam preferred)
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
