The ideal candidate brings strong project management capabilities, deep familiarity with roofing and electrical upgrade workflows, and the ability to navigate complex technical and operational challenges. A commitment to customer satisfaction, quality, and accountability is essential. Your mission is to ensure roofing and MSU scopes are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Manage day‑to‑day performance of roofing and electrical subcontractors, ensuring adherence to scope, timelines, and quality expectations.
- Evaluate project data and report on key metrics related to roofing and MSU throughput.
- Analyze pipeline reports to identify projects ready for roofing work or MSU scheduling.
- Conduct root‑cause analysis to identify bottlenecks preventing timely completion of roofing or MSU scopes.
- Make recommendations to resolve operational challenges and work cross‑functionally with leadership to improve throughput.
- Coordinate and schedule roofing work, MSUs, utility disconnect/reconnects, and homeowner appointments.
- Oversee a pipeline of projects at the Site Survey, Install, and Inspection stages to ensure roofing and MSU scopes are completed prior to installation.
- Break complex upgrade scopes into manageable actions, establish time frames, and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proactively identify risks related to roofing conditions, electrical service configurations, or utility requirements, and develop contingency plans.
- Ensure subcontractors follow safety protocols, utility standards, NEC requirements, and manufacturer guidelines.
- Maintain accurate documentation, photos, and close‑out materials for all subcontracted work.
- H.S. Diploma + 4–6 years (or a bachelor’s degree + 2–4 years) of proven experience as a Subcontractor Operations Specialist, Project Manager, or similar role overseeing roofing, electrical, or construction scopes—ideally in residential solar or renewable energy.
- 3+ years of demonstrated expertise in developing detailed project plans, interpreting construction drawings, and managing complex field scopes.
- 3+ years of experience demonstrating strong leadership and customer‑experience skills, with the ability to influence subcontractors, internal teams, and senior‑level stakeholders.
- Exceptional prioritization and time‑management abilities, with a focus on delivering high‑quality outcomes.
- Strong capabilities in client‑facing situations and cross‑functional teamwork; adept at negotiating, resolving conflicts, and navigating ambiguity.
- Hands‑on experience with enterprise‑level CRMs, project management tools, and quality assurance processes.
- Familiarity with roofing systems, electrical service equipment, and utility/MSU requirements preferred.
