Designer III

As a Designer III at Ware Malcomb, you will create innovative conceptual and schematic designs for interior design projects. You will present design options, shape client goals, build strong client relationships, and drive design excellence. You will guide the design process, collaborate with project teams, and ensure project outcomes meet design intent.

Your Role
  • Support Interior Designer or Senior Interior Designer with all design communication and presentations to clients and internally.
  • Introduce and develop design solutions that meet client needs within time and budget.
  • Design and execute components of projects of moderate complexity from concept through construction under supervision of Design Director or Studio Manager.
  • Space planning and programming.
  • Create design concepts.
  • Build mood boards for client presentations.
  • Create finish plans, specifications, and material selections.
  • Provide AutoCAD and Revit support.
  • Produce 3D renderings and computer illustrations.
  • Meet with furniture dealers, product representatives, and fabricators to meet overall project objectives.
  • Takes a leading role in design, documentation, and coordination from concept through the construction administration phase.
  • Respond to submittals during the CA phase.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years’ experience in Interior Architecture & Design.
  • Preferred Bachelor’s Degree or Technical College Degree/Certificate in an accredited Interior Architectural related program.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents.
  • Ability to work independently to solve problems involving multiple options.
  • Requires standard knowledge of financial terms and principles.
  • Intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Ability to support the Interior Designer or Senior Interior Designer in maintaining a clear design intent through the life of the project.
  • Provide clear direction to Designer I or II to create comprehensive design packages, when required.
  • Support design presentations to clients and implement collected feedback.
  • Proficiency in Revit / BIM 360, MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch Up, and 3D rendering software such as Enscape and Lumion.
  • Advanced knowledge of building code.

This is a full-time, long-term position.
