We are seeking a highly creative and experienced Senior Architectural Designer to lead the design and development of residential projects, with a focus on design excellence, innovation, and technical integration. This role will be instrumental in shaping single family detached and multifamily communities, working closely with Project Managers, Principals, and internal teams to translate vision into high-quality built environments.
Key Responsibilities- Lead design efforts for residential projects, including single family detached and multifamily developments
- Develop conceptual, schematic, and design development packages with a strong emphasis on creativity and functionality
- Collaborate with Project Managers and Principals to align design intent with project goals, budgets, and timelines
- Prepare and oversee high-quality presentation materials, including renderings, diagrams, and graphics
- Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants to ensure cohesive and integrated design solutions
- Contribute to site planning, building layouts, and architectural detailing
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, zoning requirements, and client standards
- Participate in client presentations and design reviews
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior design staff
- Support refinement of design standards and best practices across projects
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or related field
- 6–10+ years of experience in residential architectural design
- Advanced proficiency in design and visualization tools (Revit, AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Adobe Creative Suite, rendering software)
- Strong understanding of building systems, materials, and construction methods
- Excellent design, graphic, and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple design efforts in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Hand drawing / sketching skills a plus
- Experience with production housing and/or high-quality residential communities
- Familiarity with California codes and entitlement processes
- Strong site planning and community design experience
- Licensure in Architecture (or pursuit of licensure) is a plus
