Job Description & How to Apply Below
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Creative Designer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for translating rough design concepts into production-ready technical drawings, developing packaging artwork, and preparing precise files for manufacturing. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in vector illustration, a sharp eye for typography and layout, and a thorough understanding of production prepress standards.
What You’ll Own
- Translate rough design concepts into production-ready technical CAD files efficiently.
- Prepare precise artwork files for printers and packaging manufacturers.
- Create accurate, dimensioned technical drawings of hardware components.
- Develop and maintain reusable design libraries (logos, trims, hardware, and packaging templates).
- Execute rapid design revisions while maintaining rigorous production accuracy.
- Deliver organized source files and production-ready exports across projects.
Why This Role Matters
- Production Bridge:
You ensure that rough design concepts are accurately and efficiently translated into technical, manufacturer-ready files, preventing costly errors in production. - Brand Integrity:
By maintaining and evolving design libraries, you ensure consistency across all packaging, hardware, and branding, reinforcing the brand's visual identity. - Operational Efficiency:
Your expertise in preparing precise, organized files accelerates the manufacturing process and minimizes the need for back-and-forth communication with printers and vendors. - Technical Accuracy:
You provide the precision required for hardware and apparel design, ensuring that every dimension and detail meets strict quality standards before items hit the production line. - Seamless Workflow:
By serving as a technical expert, you allow the wider design team to focus on innovation and ideation, knowing that the execution and production prep are in capable hands.
What You Bring
- Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, with solid skills in Adobe Photoshop and InDesign.
- Strong experience in technical apparel CAD, production-ready garment flats, and tech pack illustration.
- Proven ability in scale-accurate hardware and trim design, as well as vector illustration.
- Demonstrated knowledge of packaging, die line creation and design, artwork creation, and version control.
- Thorough understanding of print production, prepress, typography, layout, and color management (Pantone, CMYK).
- Experience preparing files for direct manufacturer and printer handoffs.
- Familiarity with Figma (optional) and CLO 3D or Browzwear (preferred but not required).
- Proficiency in using Adobe Acrobat for design proofing and collaborative reviews.
