Job Summary / Basic Function
The Department of Computing and Engineering Technology in the College of Science, Technology, and Business is seeking qualified applicants to teach introductory (MECH 2300) and advanced courses (MECH 3300) in programmable logic controllers as part of the Mechatronics Engineering Technology Bachelor of Science program during the academic year. Courses are instructed in a studio format with extensive hands‑on activities that accompany lecture topics and emphasize industrial applications.
Both Siemens (MECH 2300) and Allen‑Bradley (MECH 3300) processors are covered. Faculty teach lectures and labs unassisted. This ABET-accredited program requires participation in collecting assessment data. All positions are contingent on enrollment and may be full or part‑time depending on departmental needs. Courses will be taught face‑to‑face at the California campus.
Candidates must have a minimum of a Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a closely related field, or a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering and at least three years of field experience directly using the content of the assigned course(s).
