The Department of Radiological Sciences at the University of California, Irvine is seeking Specialists at the Assistant, Associate, or Full level for non‑senate, academic term appointments.
Salary RangeExempt: $63,500–194,800. Non‑exempt: $30.42–93.30 (USD per hour). See Specialist Series scales.

The role involves research investigation in cardiovascular and dual‑energy CT, focusing on medical X‑ray imaging applications for cardiovascular disease.
Preferred QualificationsStrong background in physics, mathematics, and software/hardware development. Training or experience in CT physics, radiological physics, and detector physics. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Basic QualificationsAssistant Specialists: Master’s degree (or equivalent) or five years of relevant expertise.
Associate Specialists: Master’s degree (or equivalent) or 5–10 years of expertise; record of academic accomplishments and university/public service.
Full Specialists: Terminal degree (or equivalent) or ≥10 years of expertise; significant record of academic accomplishments, professional recognition, and university/public service.
