Position Overview
The Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering in the Samueli School of Engineering at the University of California, Irvine is accepting applications for a part‑time lecturer position for the Fall quarter 2026 to teach CBE 145 (Chemical Process Control). The position is remunerated on a prorated basis in accordance with the UC full‑time salary scale. Salary range: $70,977 – $77,561 for full‑time equivalent (see salary table).
For the part‑time lecturer, pay will be approximately $7,886.33 – $8,617.89 per month.

Teaching responsibilities: Deliver instruction in CBE 145 (Chemical Process Control) covering dynamic responses and control of chemical process equipment, dynamic modeling of chemical processes, linear system analysis, analyses and design of feedback loops and advanced control systems.
Requirements: Applicants should have a B.S. or M.S. in chemical engineering or a related field from an accredited university. Relevant industrial experience and/or effective teaching experience is preferred.
